The eponymous Bee from Bee and Puppycat wears a great deal of fantastical outfits, but the “Dream” outfit is one of my favorites. I constructed the dress from peau de soie based on Tailornova patterns generated to match the wearer’s measurements. The dress features an invisible zipper, floaty bishop sleeves, and princess seams. I styled the wig and enlisted creative technologist Thea Flowers to create the LED crystals using resin, glitter, and conductive thread which I incorporated throughout to give a truly magical girl look. The battery pack for the wig is cleverly hidden in a secret pocket on the back of the dress.
